Getting to New Zealand

Here's a quick guide to New Zealand's airports and the airlines that fly into, and around, the country. These are our international airports:

Wellington Airport

Wellington International Airport is located eight kilometres southeast of downtown Wellington in the suburb of Rongotai. Direct international flights operate to and from four Australian destinations - Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne - as well as Fiji. Domestic flights connect Wellington from other International destinations making getting to Wellington extremely easy.

When you arrive in New Zealand, you’ll need to be carrying a passport that is valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date. Many people will qualify for visa-free entry, but depending on your country of origin, some will need to apply for a visa before they travel.
